⚙️ AMPK Activator
NAD+ Dosage Protocols: All Vial Sizes
NAD+ is a small-molecule AMPK activator (5-aminoimidazole-4-carboxamide ribonucleotide) studied as an exercise mimetic in metabolic research.
Choose Your Vial Size
| Vial | Final volume | Concentration | One U-100 unit | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 500 mg | 3.0 mL | 166.67 mg/mL | — | Open protocol → |
| 1,000 mg | 3.0 mL | 333.33 mg/mL | — | Open protocol → |
Doses are the same research amounts across sizes; the vial size changes the concentration, so syringe units differ. Always use the table for your exact vial.
Storage Instructions
| State | Temperature | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Lyophilized | −20°C (−4°F) | Up to 24 months, dry & dark |
| Reconstituted | 2–8°C (35–46°F) | Up to 14 days, protect from light |

How This Works
NAD+ is a small molecule (not strictly a peptide) that acts as an AMP-mimetic, activating AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK). AMPK activation drives fatty-acid oxidation, mitochondrial biogenesis, and glucose uptake in skeletal muscle — mimicking exercise-induced metabolic adaptations.
Potential Benefits & Side Effects
Potential Benefits
- Rapid increase in intracellular NAD+ levels.
- Sirtuin (SIRT1/3) activation — DNA repair, mitochondrial biogenesis.
- Studied for energy, cognition, and metabolic health.
Side Effect Profile
- Flushing, warmth, tingling during IV infusion (rate-dependent).
- Nausea, headache if administered too rapidly.
Lifestyle Factors
- IV: slow infusion (90–180 min) reduces side effects.
- Sub-Q: less flushing than IV; rotate sites.
Injection Technique
- Subcutaneous: abdomen or thigh, 90° angle, rotate sites.
